National Orthotics Campaign: Since 2013, The Orthotics Campaign has been pressing NHS England for action to improve NHS Orthotic Care. NHS England's report is now available.

What are Orthotics?

The Orthotics service assesses for, measures and provides devices that support bones or muscles. These could be, for example, special shoes, insoles, splints, or fabric supports. Orthotics devices are needed for people who have a certain medical conditions or physical disabilities. When used properly and at the right time, these orthoses can reduce pain and make joints stable. This can help to prevent deformities and enables people to move well.

Who we are

We are a group of service users and their families and carers, who feel let down by the level of Orthotics Service provided in North Staffordshire. Together we want to work towards improving the situation.
